Optimise Your Learning
Using These Features
Background colour changing
Tap on the color palette icon on the left corner and choose the background color that you like. There are 4 colors to choose from: Pink, Brown, Night Mode, and Blue.
Word image changing
While the app automatically selects images to match the words for you, you can also choose to select the images yourself. Simply tap on the card's image and search for the right image. Use the search bar at the top to browse through the image library and select the image you want to include on the card that matches the meaning of the word. Making it easier to remember your vocabulary using pictures.
Add words from different in-app folders
When you tap on Library at the bottom of the app, you will see a variety of folders with German vocabularies organized by topics. Simply tap on the folder of interest and select the words within the folder that you want to add to your vocabulary card deck.
Additionally, you can also pick up new vocabulary from the Videos mode, which lets you watch videos with German subtitles, allowing you to select words from the clips and turn them into new learning cards. The same goes for the app's Articles section.
Use built-in AI chatbot
You can use the AI within the app to practice your language further by tapping on the green elephant icon at the bottom right corner and use it like a personal assistant. For examples, creating a story out of the vocabularies you've learned, or ask AI to explain how to use a word.
Add new words from outside
Whenever you come across a new word outside the app, you can also add the word to your flashcards and keep building your personalized collection this way.
Simply tap on a word you want to add to the card collection, then tap the arrow icon and scroll all the way to the 'Share...' feature. Tap on 'Share...' button, then tap the three dots to scroll down to the DuoCards app icon. Tap the icon to add the highlighted word to the app, then customize the word by choosing the image, add definitions and sample sentences. You can use the dictionary for help, or let the app's built-in AI to auto-translate and generate sample sentences for you in seconds. See images for illustration.
Add DuoCards to Google Extension
Install DuoCards on Google Chrome Extension
Install the DuoCards app on Google Chrome on your computer. Add new flashcards to your account using your computer. Simply go to the Google Chrome Extension and add DuoCards to your Google browser. You can now easily use the DuoCards app from your computer, in addition to your phone.
